A very good quality early 18th Century Staffordshire pearlware 'Fair Hebe' jug.

c.1710

Moulded with a man handing a woman a bird's nest,
at the base of a tree trunk. The reverse with a sleeping hound,

It is painted with overglaze enamels, and it has indistinct impressed number to base,
perhaps 36,

Height: 13.5 cms

It is generally in good condition, for an item 300 years old, but there is a small rim chip,
small surface chips beside the lady and to man's back.
Minor paint loss.
