This is an attractive, mustard green and brown coloured Aller Vale jug.

It is in the attractive and collectable 'Kerswell Daisy' Pattern with the 'Made in Devon' inscription on the base.

It is inscribed with the words " Come fill me full with liquors sweet, For that is good when friends do meet, But pray take care don't let me fall, Lest you loose your liquor jug and all."

A delightful piece that is over 100 years old.

The jug in very good condition with no chips or repairs with only the expectant usual wear on the bottom of the base through usage for an antique item of this age. There is a small blemish in the original painting of the jug as shown in the photographs with a slightly flattening of the jug at this place, but the jug is so busily patterned that it does not detract from the overall appearance of the item.
